A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Digital Marketing Manager

  • Develop overall digital advertising strategy, identify KPIs, plan and execute the components of campaigns, continually optimize and manage spend against annual budget.
  • Oversee digital data analysis and reporting plus overall website analytics, personalization and customer behavioral analytics.
  • Develop email marketing program and execute, including segmentation, testing, and deployment. Continually evaluate for improvements and stronger ROI.
  • Manage roadmaps across web, email, mobile, paid digital media, and paid social. Consult on SEO.
  • Fundraising experience and/or digital agency or ad agency a big plus!
  • Drive brand awareness, revenue, donations and online customer acquisition.
  • Set and execute a multi-channel strategy that supports numerous business lines to drive revenue, donations and awareness growth through digital channels including paid search (experience with Google Grants a plus), paid social, display mediums, online video, streaming channels, OTT, CTV, retargeting, SMS and third-party affiliates.
  • Develop robust test-and-learn strategies for website and digital/email campaigns (QA, landing pages, forms, segmentation, dynamic content) via data analysis and optimize to meet changes in market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead the collection, measurement, reporting and analysis of web behavioral data. Identify KPIs and provide recommendations to increase performance.
  • Manage site tagging to ensure proper data collection and integration of 3rd party partners. Guide cross-channel attribution methodology.
  • Create the blueprint for our automated, nurture email marketing strategy and build out campaigns in anticipation of a new, central CRM platform.
  • Work closely with other department team members to identify data capture opportunities and increase the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Manage email calendar to balance product marketing, events, education, other communications, and prevent subscriber burnout. Manage email databases and work cross-functionally with other departments who share ownership.
  • Develop and optimize exceptional audience experiences and journeys across all digital media. Drive audience segmentation and personalization.
  • Generate innovative ideas to increase customer acquisition, engagement, retention and revenue.
  • Oversee digital dashboard, define KPIs and develop campaign performance reports to share with internal teams.
  • Actively follow industry trends, assess opportunities and serve as SME on all things digital advertising, web analytics and email marketing and share best practice knowledge with marketing team.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience – 5+ years of the following:

  • Designing, building, bidding, executing and optimizing multiple-channel digital advertising campaigns and components. Deep knowledge and understanding of digital media platforms and tools.
  • Overseeing digital data analysis, reporting and optimization including overall website analytics, personalization and customer behavioral analytics.
  • Experience building and optimizing automated email marketing campaigns (Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a plus) with skills in designing triggered campaigns, nurturing and reporting. Knowledge of email marketing best practices and U.S. laws.

Qualifications

  • Expert marketing and strategic analysis as well as solid presentation and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google AdWords Certified, Facebook Ads Manager, or other digital marketing certifications/experience preferred.
  • Fundraising, digital agency or advertising agency experience a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of the full marketing mix.
  • Exceptional organizational, written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated history of driving change and tangible impact in high-growth, fast-moving environments.
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude. High degree of analytic curiosity.
  • Calm, cool, and complexity-friendly. You’re able to juggle different business lines and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. You possess the ability to work independently and also integrate well into a strong, bonded team.

Education / Certifications / Licenses:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability required.

Language Skills: Able to speak, read and write English; Spanish language helpful.

Mathematical Skills: Advanced skills required for data analysis.

Computer Skills: Digital tools necessary for fulfilling position requirements such as: Database software; CRM software; Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word; Google Analytics (preferable some knowledge about version 4); Google Data Studio; Dashboard software; Adobe Reader; Jotform or other comparable form builder; email automation software; Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud a plus.

Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Regular attendance is required. Access to reliable transportation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
